Network Security

The security of information on networked devices is often overlooked and neglected. Not only is the confidentiality of your data important, so is the security of the systems and people that handle it. Even if data can be restored from backups, or if data is not critical or sensitive, damage or downtime resulting from a lack of secure processes (even accidental ones) can cost you significant time and money.

For example, failing to secure a wireless network simply because you don't believe you have any sensitive information to "steal" leaves an open door for several types of abuse that can cause you grief in ways you may never expect. Using insufficient passwords or a lack of attention to current and former employee permissions can cause headaches. There are many points in a modern business environment that can disrupt your business if left unsecured, and not all of them are simply about protecting your data from falling into the wrong hands.
